+ HOW OFTEN DOES THE BUS DEPART?
+ HOW DO I BOOK A TICKET?

All reservations must be booked online on our website (www.ca.express).

Booking Instructions:

  1. Click “Book” at the top of our page.
  2. Select the type of trip (round trip or one way), date of your trip, departure and arrival location.
  3. Click on “Check Availability” to look for available buses.
  4. If you receive a message reading “no available bus” that means our routes are fully booked. If there is availability you will be redirected to the next page.
  5. According to your preferred departure time, select the number of guests you are booking a ticket for. Proceed with selecting your seat number(s).(GREEN seats are available, RED ones are already booked).
  6. Once you have made your selection click on the “Checkout” box to proceed with your booking. On the following page you will see an overview of your booking. Check to see if all the information is accurate. If so, please enter the personal information of the person making the booking, as well as payment method. Then input the personal information of all the guests you included in the booking.
  7. Click on “Confirm” to proceed with the booking. Depending on the selected payment method you will be either redirected to a Paypal checkout or a Credit-Card pop-up window, where you will be able to enter your payment information in order to finish your booking.

+ HOW MUCH DOES A TICKET COST?

Ticket prices vary. They depend on the time and date of travel.

+ WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

We do not refund tickets to clients who already paid for their ticket(s). However, you can send us an email to info@ca.express to apply for a change of date for your ticket(s).

Changes to Reservations: Customers wishing to change a reservation must do so at least 1 hour prior to the departure time of the existing reservation. A trade in fee ($2.00 for trade-ins more than 24 hours from departure, $4.00 for trade ins 6 to 24 hours from departure, $6 for trade ins 1 to 6 hours from departure) is charged for all reservations being changed.

+ WHAT IS THE CUT-OFF TIME TO BOOK A SAME-DAY TICKET?

Guests are able to purchase tickets for an available trip up until 2 hours prior to departure.

+ HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I PURCHASE AT ONCE?

We limit reservations to five (5) tickets per transaction.

+ WHAT ROUTES DO YOU CURRENTLY OFFER?

At this time El C.A. Express offers services to-and-from Guatemala City and La Antigua.

Departure & Check-in

+ WHAT DO I NEED FOR CHECK-IN?

We only require you to present the digital boarding pass (on your phone). Once your payment has been processed and confirmed, youʼll receive a confirmation email with a link to your boarding pass. We encourage environmentally friendly practices, so please donʼt print your ticket.

+ WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CHECK-IN?

Our buses arrive at the designated pick-up locations in both Guatemala City and Antigua 10 minutes prior to departure time. Please note that our buses might not be at the pick-up location before this time, so donʼt panic if you arrive early and donʼt see our bus. If the bus is already parked, feel free to present your boarding pass to our crew and wait in the bus until our scheduled departure time. We close the doors promptly five minutes ahead of departure. No one likes to be stressed, so please give yourself enough time to get to the pick-up location.

+ WHAT ARE THE PICK-UP & DROP-OFF LOCATIONS?

Guatemala City Airport:

Find us on the Departures Level.

If youʼve just arrived in Guatemala, follow these steps:

  • Once you pass customs, exit the airport on either side.
  • Cross the street and head into the parking lot.
  • Take the stairs, or the elevator, to the top floor. (Departures Level)
  • Our silver bus with yellow lines will pull up 5-10 minutes prior to our scheduled departure time.

If you are taking a Taxi or Uber to the Airport, follow these steps:

  • Ask your driver to take you to the departures level.
  • Cross the street opposite of the Airport entrance.

Avenida las Américas:

We have a curbside pick-up and drop-off location on 9a. Calle next to Taco Bell.

Antigua:

Look for El C.A. Express parking station located 200mts. (600ft.) from the entrance of Antigua right in front of the Shell gas station. You can easily find us by looking at our map in our Home Page.

+ HOW MUCH LUGGAGE SHOULD I BRING?

Please note:

  • Luggage will be stored in the vehicleʼs luggage bay, which cannot be accessed after the vehicle has departed.
  • A piece of luggage cannot weigh more than 50 pounds and must not exceed 62 inches when adding the total exterior dimensions of the piece of luggage.
  • Personal items must be small enough to fit under the guestʼs seat, which generally can accommodate a purse, computer bag, or small backpack.
  • Medium sized bags that commonly fit in a commercial airline overhead compartment will not fit under a seat. If deemed too large, El C.A. Expressʼs crew will store the bag in the vehicleʼs luggage bay prior to departure.
+ WHAT ITEMS AM I NOT ALLOWED TO BRING ONBOARD?

Guests may not transport in their baggage, on their person, or otherwise, any weapons of any kind, or items that are inherently dangerous, or illegal, including any hazardous materials and/or drugs. Examples of hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials.

Guests may not consume outside Food or Beverage aboard. You are allowed to bring it as long as it is placed in your luggage, or kept inside your personal item. There is a $10 penalty fee for consuming outside Food or Beverage.

+ ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ABOARD?

Unfortunately, we do not allow children aboard that are under 8 years of age. Children between the ages of 8 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult and may not travel alone. All guests, regardless of age, must have their own ticket.

+ ARE PETS ALLOWED ABOARD?

Yes, but only cats and dogs. However, we do charge a $10 fee per animal. All animals must be lap-sized. If your pet is too large, you may not be allowed to board.

The Experience Aboard

+ WHAT AMMENITIES ARE PROVIDED?

El C.A. Express is equipped with WiFi, personal power outlets, A/C and a Minibar. There is an attendant on each trip to take care of you at any point during the trip.

+ HOW DO I GET TO MY HOTEL?

Our C.A. Express Station in Antigua is only 200mts./600ft. (4 minute walk) from Antiguaʼs main entrance and 1km./0.6miles away from Antiguaʼs (12 minute walk) central park. Although walking to your final destination is a good option, we can also help you arrange a Tuc-Tuc, Taxi, or Shuttle to take you to your final destination.

+ WHAT TIME WILL WE ARRIVE?

As with all forms of travel, arrival times are estimated. Our estimated arrival times are listed on our website and may fluctuate due to traffic, depending on the time of travel. Please understand that there may be delays caused by forces that are outside of our control.

+ CAN I SMOKE ONBOARD?

No smoking is allowed onboard of any of El C.A. Express buses at anytime. This includes e - cigarets.

+ WHAT IS THE FOOD & DRINK POLICY?

Guests are not allowed to consume food and beverage bought outside. There is a $10 penalty fee if a guest is found consuming food or beverage that was brought from the outside.

That being said, we do offer food and beverage for sale onboard.

+ WHAT ARE THE SAFETY FEATURES ONBOARD?

All of El C.A. Express busses are equipped with seatbelts in every seat, security cameras, ani-theft doors, and a panic button that once triggered will alert a rescue team.

+ DO YOU HAVE A LOST & FOUND?

Any guest who loses or finds personal items aboard of El C.A. Express can email us at info@ca.express, in your email, please include your first and last name, date of trip, a brief description of the item, the location of where the personal item was possibly lost or found onboard, and your trip destination. Please note that El C.A. Express is not responsible for lost or stolen items. However, our crew will do our best to track down any lost or found item, and contact you as soon as possible.
